Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. Welcomes Two New Members to its Board of Directors

Dallas, Texas March 29, 2023  Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW), a designated 501(c)(3), is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors: Lori Flowers, Manager, Integrated Marketing and Project Manager for Radio One and Jenna Miller, Integrated Sales Manager for Cox Media Group (CMG), Tampa. Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. consists of top-level female radio professionals who use their experience, influence and resources to help other women in radio develop management and leadership skills.

Lori Flowers is responsible for creating marketing opportunities for all Radio One & Reach Media radio stations and nationally syndicated shows. Her impressive 20-year career in radio has afforded Lori an opportunity to make her mark in Phoenix, West Palm Beach, Miami, Washington, DC and, most recently, Radio One Atlanta where she served as Marketing Director.

Lori was selected for MIW’s 2008 Mildred Carter Mentorship Program and has successfully completed National Association of Broadcasters coursework in Leadership Development, Executive Leadership Development, and Broadcast Leadership Training. She has been featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta on numerous occasions. Her desire to share professional development tips for women looking to climb the corporate ladder inspired her to author and publish “A Seat at the Table: A Survival Guide for Women in Business.” Lori is a graduate of Nashville’s Fisk University. She received her Masters of Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University.

Jenna Miller oversees sales efforts for two of Cox Media Group Tampa’s music brands and is the point manager for CMG Health Marketing and CMG Research. A Metro Detroit native and graduate of Calvin University, Jenna began her radio career in Detroit in 1998 selling All News, Play by Play, Classic Rock and News/Talk formats. Her experience and business acumen earned Jenna senior account executive positions in New York City for both iHeartMedia Inc. and Audacy Inc. (formerly Entercom Communications).

Jenna completed Radio Advertising Bureau’s (RAB) Rising Through The Ranks, a leadership program sponsored by the Radio Advertising Bureau, BMI, Inc. and MIW, and was awarded 1 of 3 national mentorships for MIW’s 2021 Mildred Carter Mentorship Program. Recognized for her genuine interest in helping others, Jenna volunteered to join the MIW Mentoring Committee in 2022 representing the Mildred Carter Mentees. She continues to serve in that capacity. Jenna is also a past mentor in the She Runs It NYC (formerly known as Advertising Women of NY) mentoring program.

MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff said, “Both Lori and Jenna share a history with MIW, starting as mentees and now joining us as Board members.  They are each accomplished and inspiring professionals who are generously giving back to the betterment of women in the industry, and the industry as a whole.  We welcome them wholeheartedly and are thankful for their participation.”
