Danielle Outlaw

Danielle Outlaw is the Vice President of Sales at Neuhoff Communications with responsibility for sales generation, strategic planning, staff training and development and business relations for twelve commercial radio stations in Central Illinois and television stations in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Danielle has nine years of experience in the radio industry after beginning her career with Clear Channel Radio in 2003 as an Account Executive. Within two years she developed and cultivated the position of Non Traditional Revenue Director of Springfield, IL, being the first within this cluster to hold the position.  In 2005, Danielle was promoted to General Sales Manager overseeing the sales department for a cluster of 4 stations.  In 2008, Neuhoff Communications purchased that cluster of stations and in 2009 promoted Danielle to her current position of VP of Sales.

Danielle has been recognized as “One to Watch” among the Most Influential African Americans in Radio by Radio Ink Magazine in 2010 and has served as a panelist and presented topics in a number of industry meetings including the Radio Show and International Broadcaster’s Idea Bank.  Additionally, she has been honored with an award of volunteerism from the Family Service Center of Sangamon County and was selected in 2009 by the Business Journal to be listed as one of the "Forty Under 40" of central Illinois business leaders.

Prior to working in the radio industry, Danielle previously held the position of Divisional Sales Manager for May Company’s Famous Barr.  Drawing her business philosophies from her background in Retail Sales and Customer Service, she approaches sales and sale management with an “at your service” attitude.

Danielle received her B.A. in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University and has also achieved certification through the Radio Advertising Bureau as a Certified Radio Marketing Consultant, Certified Digital Marketing Consultant and Certified Radio Sales Manager.  Also a graduate of the Radio Adverting Bureau, BMI and MIW groups’ “Rising Through the Ranks” management program after receiving 1 of 25 national scholarships.

Calling Rochester, IL home, Danielle balances work with family calling wife and mother her most important responsibilities.

Erica Pefferman

Erica Pefferman was born and raised in Joplin, MO.  From a very young age, she was immersed in the family retail clothing business…beginning with wrapping presents during Christmas time at 9 years old all the way to managing the store and buying at markets across the country while she was still in college.

Erica attended both Missouri Southern State University as well as Columbia College in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with minors in Marketing and Management.   After leaving college, Erica worked at Sparlin Advertising Agency in Joplin until she started her own business in 2001.  Erica became a part of the Zimmer Radio Group family in 2003, starting as an assistant and working her way up to Director of Sales in 2010.

Erica has been married to Brad for 7 years and has five children ranging in ages from 3 to 13 years old.  She has been very active in her community, holding positions on committees for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce,  leading a financial ministry at her church, as well as serving for four years including being named President of the Rainbow House Board of Directors, for a not for profit dedicated to protecting children from abuse. 

Erica has a great passion for helping people discover who they really are so they may give the best of their lives to the things that really matter the most – personal relationships, service to their community, and fulfilling their heart-felt calling in life.

Keriann Worley

Keriann have been involved in radio from early on in her life. Initially introduced to the field by family, she spent her high school years answering the request lines and assisting the research team at a local station. After graduating from the University of Florida she began a career in Human Resources. She obtained a Masters in Human Resource Management while moving up the corporate ladder, ultimately becoming a Director of HR for a major corporation. After making the move into sales within this same company, she realized that she had a true passion for selling. It wasn’t too long before the energy of the radio industry was calling her. She joined Clear Channel Miami as Account Executive and quickly became one of the top performers within the cluster. She also assumed leadership roles in various corporate initiatives involving education and recruitment. Currently, she is the General Sales Manager for the five station cluster in Fort Pierce, Florida. This past year she was honored by being selected as one of 25 women for Rising Through the Ranks from the RAB, BMI, and MIW.

Her keys to success include working hard and working smart while staying focused on goals. In addition, she stays positive and learns to adapt quickly to the demands of this evolving industry.

She loves an adventure. Traveling, boating, running, and watching her three daughters develop and achieve their goals. 

Michele Kiefer

Michele Kiefer has 17 successful years of experience in the Indianapolis radio market. Since joining Cumulus Media Partners in 2007, Michele has been promoted to Director of Sales for the three station cluster in Indianapolis including award winning WFMS. The Indianapolis cluster has exceeded various revenue records and remains some of the most recognized radio stations in the country. 

Michele began her broadcast career at WFBQ-FM as a sales intern and held various sales positions including Sales Manager of Clear Channel Indianapolis’ Total Traffic Network, WRZX-FM and Director of Integrated Marketing. 

Michele is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor's in Telecommunications. She lives an active lifestyle with her husband and 9 year old puppy.

Taja Graham

Taja Graham is the Local Sales Manager for WLHK, an Emmis Communications property. Taja received her B.S. from Butler University. She started her radio career as an intern with WZPL in 1991. In 1996, Taja joined Emmis Communications and has worked in various roles leading up to her current position as Local Sales Manger for WLHK, Country 97.1 Hank FM. She received the Emmis Broadcasting Inc. Chairman’s Club Award for Annual Top Sales Performance in 2007 and 2008. Taja recently completed the RAB, BMI and the Most Influential Women in Radio (MIW) the Rising Through the Ranks Management Course for Women. In her free time, Taja has served on several community group boards such as Forest Manor Multi Cultural Center, Community Centers of Indianapolis, Madame CJ Walker’s Spirit Awards Planning Committee, and The Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service. She currently serves as a BMV Commissioner appointed by the Honorable Mitch Daniels. Taja and her Yorkie, Teddy, love spending time in their Fishers, Indiana home.

Katerina Perez

Katerina Perez has over 10 years of media sales experience. Starting her radio career with an internship with Beasley Broadcasting in Miami, she moved into an Account Executive role with CBS Radio in West Palm Beach, Florida selling WMBX, the flagship urban station in the market. After 4 years with CBS, Katerina made the move to big market radio, selling for the 6 station cluster at Clear Channel Miami, where she quickly became a top performer. After 7 successful years in radio sales, Katerina moved into management in the Clear Channel Ft. Pierce-Vero Beach market where she is currently the General Sales Manager of the 5 station cluster.

Regardless of format or market, Katerina strives to be a performance leader, consistently earning top performer incentives. She was honored to receive 1 of 15 national scholarships to the "Rising Through the Ranks" workshop in 2008 from the Radio Advertising Bureau, BMI and the MIW Radio Group.

Katerina attributes much of her success to her positive attitude and work ethic. "You must work harder than your competition every single day ...and you must do it with a smile on your face. Our business is changing daily and we need to be excited about that change to be ahead of the pack."

Katerina Perez received her B.A. in Communications and International Business in 1999 from Florida Atlantic University. She currently lives in Boynton Beach, Florida with her husband and two sons.

Kirsten Winquist

Kirsten Winquist was born and raised in Safety Harbor, Florida. At an early age, she developed a passion for music and chose the trombone as her instrument. Kirsten was selected to be a part of America's Youngest Jazz Band at the age of eleven, and went on to play the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. By the age of sixteen, she had travelled the country performing with the Spirit of Atlanta Drum Corps.

Kirsten was accepted to Florida State University in 2000. Though she had the opportunity to pursue music performance, her interest in radio led her to a major in Communications. During her sophomore year, Kirsten landed an internship with WXSR-FM, working with the station's morning show and Clear Channel Tallahassee's production department. Upon completion of her internship, she was hired for morning weather and traffic. In short time, Kirsten was promoted to Over-Nights, and then to Middays full-time with the title of Music Director for WXSR-FM. After receiving her degree in Communications, and while working for Clear Channel Tallahassee, she was contacted by Sirius Satellite Radio. She was offered the position of evening host on Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville, and has been invited to interview Buffett during several of his nationwide tours.

As of 2007, Kirsten secured a position with Emmis Radio in Austin, Texas, moving her from market #161 to market #38. She is now Music Director/Assistant Program Director and Afternoon Host for KLBJ-FM, while continuing to air six nights a week on Radio Margaritaville, Sirius 31, XM 55. she maintains an active role in the community by participating in charity bike rides such as Lance Armstrong's Livestrong and Tour De Cure, and is a board member of her neighborhood home owners association. Being a Florida girl, Kirsten never passes up an opportunity to be out on the water.

Kirsten also loves going out to hear live music and spending time with family and friends.

Shayna Sharpe

Shayna Sharpe has been with Regional Reps since February 2008; first as an Account Executive and as of February 2009, the Manager/Business Development.

Her duties include managing the customer service team, digital media initiatives, administering the company's website/social media and Radio station relations. Founded in 1956, Regional Reps is the oldest and one of the largest Radio rep firms in the country focusing on small and medium markets.

Previously to joining Regional Reps, Shayna worked with Arbitron as a Media Account Manager and a Training Service Consultant, providing sales and software training and solutions in both small and large markets. Prior to her tenure at Arbitron, she was the first Research Director for the six-station Clear Channel cluster in Cleveland, OH. Shayna provided sales and marketing research for the cluster, as well as outlying markets.

In her free time, she enjoys visiting national parks, hiking, golfing, organic gardening and microbreweries.

Jill Kowalski

Lindsay Cerajewski Adams

Lindsay Adams (formerly Cerajewski)

Lindsay Cerajewski has over 20 years of experience in Audio and is currently Vice President of National Partnerships for Entercom Communications.   

Lindsay started in the world of radio professionally in 2000 and her achievements started almost immediately when she won “rookie of the year” at WNOU-FM for the Indianapolis Emmis radio cluster. Since then, Lindsay became an integral leader and revenue developer for each of her stations winning awards and accolades along the way.  She was elevated to a leadership role in 2007 as Local Sales Manager, then General Sales Manager of WUSN where she remained for several years.  She served as General Sales Manager for multiple stations including WSCR-AM and WXRT-FM in Chicago.  She also spent over 2 years as the National Sales Manager and VP of the National Agency Partnership team for Entercom Chicago. 

Lindsay’s entre into the world of the MIWs started in 2008, when she was honored with 1 of 15 national scholarships to the inaugural “Rising Through the Ranks” management program funded by the Radio Advertising Bureau, BMI and the MIW group. Lindsay was also awarded 1 of 3 national mentorships through the MIW’s Mildred Carter Mentorship Program for the calendar year of 2009.

Lindsay Adams has been a chairperson on the board of directors for the Media Ad Club of Chicago. She also served a 2-year term for Scarborough’s Radio Advisory Board, representing the Central Region. Lindsay was honored to be asked in 2011 by the MIW’s to sit on the MIW Executive Committee representing the Mildred Carter Mentees (a newly created post on the MIW Executive Committee) and currently still serves in that capacity.

Lindsay received her B.A. in Telecommunications and Business from Indiana University-Bloomington. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Sales Institute and is a Certified Solutions-Based Master Facilitator through Creative Resources

 

Lori I. (Hall) Flowers

Lori Flowers is a seasoned marketing professional with close to 20 years of experience working in radio.  She is currently the Manager, Ad Sales Marketing for Radio One New York City.  In this newly created role, Lori is responsible for creating marketing opportunities for all Radio One stations and syndicated shows that drive revenue for the Radio One national sales team and REACH Media sales team.  Prior to this role, she was most recently the Marketing Director for Radio One Atlanta where she oversaw the marketing and promotional efforts for the Atlanta radio stations.  This career path has afforded her the opportunity to work in radio in a variety of different cities including Phoenix, West Palm Beach, Miami, Washington, DC and Atlanta. 

 

She attended college at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Communications.  Additionally she also received a Masters of Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University.

 

Lori is also involved in numerous professional organizations and has successfully completed course work with the National Association of Broadcasters that include; Leadership Development, Executive Leadership Development and Broadcast Leadership Training.  

 

A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, she also had a TV debut on HGTV’s “My First Place” where the search for her first home was captured on TV and continues to air on the network.  She has also been featured in Who’s Who in Black Atlanta on numerous occasions.   

 

Lori is the author of “A Seat at the Table: A Survival Guide for Women in Business”.  This was spawned out of a desire to share professional development tips for women looking to climb the corporate ladder.   

 

She has a positive outlook on life and stays true to her motto which is “Life is too short, so live each day to the fullest.”
