“SPEAK UP!” IS A PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM BETWEEN MIW & MEDIA STAFFING NETWORK IN HONOR OF LAURIE KAHN
Application Window Opens Today
DALLAS, TX (May 1, 2024): Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of female leadership in radio broadcasting, announced today the opening of the application window for the “Speak Up Mentorship Program” in honor of the late Laurie Kahn. Now in its 2nd year, Speak Up! is a one-year mentorship designed for women in small to medium radio markets seeking guidance and mentorship to further their career goals. One candidate from radio broadcasting, from any department, will be selected and jointly mentored by MIW experienced executives and Media Staffing Network certified coaches.
The application window closes on Friday, May 17, 2024 EOD.
Said MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff, “This mentorship is particularly special as it continues Laurie’s mission. We are honored to have the privilege to partner with Lisa Fields to carry that legacy forward."

The first Speak Up! mentee was 2023 recipient Mary Zukin, Senior Sales & Marketing Executive, Iliad Media Group, Idaho.
