Mary Quass is President and Chief Executive Officer of NRG Media LLC, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. NRG Media owns and operates 84 radio stations and two networks in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. In March 2005, NRG Media was formed as a result of the merge of Waitt Radio, Inc. and NewRadio Group, LLC. NRG Media is headquartered in Cedar Rapids and concentrates on small and medium sized markets in the Midwest.

Prior to NRG Media, Mary was the President/CEO of NewRadio Group, a company she started in 2002. From 1998 to 2000 Mary served as the President of Central Star Communications a division of AMFM, Inc. Mary Quass has more than 27 years of radio broadcast experience, including President and CEO of Quass Broadcasting Company until its acquisition by Capstar Broadcasting in 1998.

Mary serves on many boards and has been active on a local regional and national level. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of the NAB. In 2005 and 2006, Mary was honored by Radio Ink when she was named to the lists of “The 40 Most Powerful People in Radio” and “The 50 Most Influential Women in Radio.” Mary was awarded the prestigious Radio Wayne: Broadcaster of the Year award in 1999.. Additionally Mary has received both the Iowa Broadcasters Assn. Hall of Fame, 1999 and Broadcaster of the Year, 1994 awards.
