Michele
has worked in the radio business for twenty-two years.
After graduating from college on the east coast in 1981,
she deferred acceptance to law school in Washington
D.C. for a year and moved to Seattle where she found
a job as a traffic director for KUBE radio in Seattle.
What was supposed to be a short-term job ended up turning
into a long-time career.
Michele
spent a year as KUBE’s traffic director before
entering local radio sales as a KUBE account executive.
She sold radio locally for 4 years (from 1982-1986)
before becoming the National Sales Manager of that station.
From 1986-1991, she held the NSM position and in 1991
she was promoted to KUBE’s General Sales Manager.
Under the new consolidation rules in 1994, KUBE joined
with KLTX-FM and KJR AM and became Seattle’s first
duopoly group. In 1994, Michele became Director of Sales
and was promoted to V.P./General Manager of the group
in 1998. She is now Market Manager for Clear Channel
Radio in Seattle and for the group that also includes
KHHO AM and KFNK FM.
In 2004, Michele was promoted to Regional Vice-President for Clear Channel Radio. She continues to oversee the Clear Channel Seattle radio group, but has added oversight responsibilities in Portland, Eugene, Albany-Corvalis and Medford, Oregon markets as well as in Centralia, WA.
