Cyndee Maxwell joined Radio & Records in 1993 as the publication's Rock Editor after a career in radio that included programming and on-air roles at rock stations in Los Angeles, San Diego and Anchorage, Alaska. She was promoted to Vice President of Editorial & Music Operations in 2004, overseeing the company's 50-plus publications and products. In August of 2006, The Nielsen Company acquired Radio & Records and named her Associate Publisher, where she had direct oversight of R&R's print and electronic publications and day-to-day operations. She received a Gold Award for Excellence from the Nielsen Company in 2009, and in the same year, Radio Ink magazine named her one of its Most Influential Women in Radio.
