Bonnie Press is president of Clear Channel Katz Advantage, the marketing services and strategic sales arm of the Katz Media Group. As president, she over sees all business functions and new business development for this division.
Ms. Press began her radio career in 1976 after teaching math for a year in New York City schools. Her decision to change careers was unplanned, yet fruitful. She spent eight years at Christal Radio where she was a Research Analyst, Network Account Executive and Network Vice President, Sales Manager. She joined the Katz Radio Group in 1984 as an Account Executive for the Network sales arm, and was promoted to Vice President, Marketing for the Katz Radio Group (KRG) Network the following year.
In 1991, Ms. Press was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager of the KRG Sales, and quickly made her mark in the company. In June 1995, Ms. Press helped to launch Katz Dimensions as a division of KRG. In 2004, Dimensions expanded marketing operations and was renamed Clear Channel Katz Advantage (CCKA).
Bonnie Press is an active member of American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT). She was a member of the board of directors of Next Generation Radio, which promoted radio to advertisers trying to reach the youth market. She has been a featured speaker at several industry conferences and lectures including Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), AWRT Summits, Radio Ink sponsored gatherings and others.
Ms. Press was instrumental in creating the annual Katz Women’s Career Summit focusing on career advancement, life-work balance issues and diversity initiatives for industry women.
For the last several years running, Ms. Press has been named to the prestigious Radio Ink Magazine, Most Influential Women in Radio listing as well as AWRT’s Top 25 Women in Sales and Marketing list.
Ms. Press is committed to historical and educational foundations. She is a charter member of the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C., and is also a member of Brandeis University’s National Women’s Committee (BUNWC). Ms. Press is a graduate of New York University, and holds degrees in mathematics.
