Beth Davis has been in radio sales management for 20 years. Most recently she returned to her home in St. Louis as Director of Sales St. Louis where she has rebuilt and developed a sales team for Clear Channel’s six station cluster. By restructuring the sales management staff and doubling the size of the sales staff in less than one year the revenue increased significantly taking the cluster from the #4 revenue generating cluster to #1.
Beth Davis began her radio management in Dallas with Belo Broadcasting. Soon she discovered that start up and turn around companies were her passion. She has grown and developed staffs in Dallas, San Diego, Chicago, and St. Louis. When with CBS St. Louis Beth developed recruitment, training, and development programs that increased staff retention by 80%. Staff turn over is one of the top complaints for most local buyers and decision makers. Recruiting and developing the right people creates a consistent sales team that builds long term relationships for the stations ultimately growing revenue.
Beth Davis also enjoys working in her community having served on the boards of Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club; Heat Up St. Louis, Siteman Cancer Center (Advisory Board), St. Louis Cancer Foundation, and Food Outreach. In 2003 Beth was named by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of 20 St. Louis Most Influential Business Women and to the YWCA 2004 Academy of Leaders. Beth Davis received the honor of 50 Most Influential Women in Radio 2003, 2004, and 2005. |
